The Vandalist LUT

🎨 This LUT pulls rich skin tones across all complexities, padded highlights, and a balanced saturated look that mimics film-emulation unlike any other LUT I've used. It's incredibly robust and works beautifully for monitoring on set, quick exports, socials, and as a solid starting point for your grade. It can also be used standalone — just correct exposure, white balance, and contrast per shot as needed.

🎬 For my YouTube videos, I enhance the look further using the Film Vision II PowerGrade (linked here, made by another creator), which adds grain and halation. However, Film Vision II requires DaVinci Resolve Studio (the paid version) as well as more advanced knowledge of DaVinci's powergrade system, while this LUT works universally in any editing software with a click of a button. All my videos and content have been filmed with this LUT for more reference shots.

📸 All reference images here compare Apple’s standard Rec. 709 profile vs. Apple LOG with this LUT applied. This LUT is even more powerful in combination with higher-dynamic range sensors from DSLR style or cinema cameras! I'll be adding more reference images from these cameras soon.
